Leading consortium wins prized ONGC deepwater deal for landmark project

A consortium comprising two leading international energy engineering players has won a sizeable contract from India’s state-controlled Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for work on two deepwater developments centred around a landmark asset.

ONGC plans to spend more than $10 billion on developing multiple deep-water projects in and around its flagship KG-DWN-98/2 block in the Krishna Godavari basin offshore India’s east coast. While the Indain state-owned company is swiftly progressing with the $ billion plus developmentof the Cluster-2 region, itnow aims to kick off an intergrated development of the Cluster-I regionof KG-DWN 98/2 along with the nearby  GS-29asset.
