Energy has been a major driver of global industrial expansion since the turn of the century. In the energy sector, companies are involved in both direct and indirect ways in producing and distributing energy to power the economy and facilitate transportation and production.

The energy sector is made up of companies that produce various types of energy. A large majority of energy companies are classified according to how the energy they produce is derived e.g. Biogas and Landfill; Coal, Oil and Gas-Fired Boilers; Gas Turbines; Reciprocating Engines; Solar, Wind, Water Energy, and Nuclear Power.  No matter how energy is sourced power plants’ processes are complex and resource-intensive and require highly reliable and durable equipment.
