Gasgrid Finland Oy (Gasgrid) has awarded Worley a four-year framework agreement, with the option for extension until 2032, to provide owners engineering (OE) services for the development of Finland’s hydrogen pipeline system. The planned 1,100 km pipeline network will connect major hydrogen production and offtake centers across the country, with future potential to support hydrogen exports to neighboring markets. Gasgrid has emphasized that once realized, the system will enhance cost-efficient, reliable, and secure renewable energy development for the Nordic region and Europe.
Under the agreement, Worley will deliver OE services primarily through its offices in the Netherlands and Finland, with additional support from its Global Integrated Delivery (GID) team in India. The company has classified this agreement as part of its sustainable work portfolio.
Worley CEO Chris Ashton highlighted the significance of the project, stating, “This project demonstrates Worley’s global expertise applied to a sustainable initiative that contributes to Finland’s national energy strategy. By advancing the hydrogen economy, it supports the transition to a more sustainable world.”
