Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (Kezad Group), the largest operator of integrated and purpose-built economic zones, has signed a 50-year land lease agreement with ETG Bio Green Polymer, a global leader in sustainable manufacturing, to establish a state-of-the-art compostable polymers factory in Kezad Al Ma’mourah (Kezad A).
The new facility will produce 100% sustainable polymers, supporting manufacturers in their transition to plastic-free packaging solutions, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM). ETG is investing AED 150 million ($40.84 million) in the 22,000-square-meter facility, reinforcing its commitment to pioneering green technologies and contributing to a circular economy.
The plant will manufacture compostable polymer resin, facilitating the packaging industry’s shift towards eco-friendly solutions while strengthening Kezad’s role as a hub for sustainable manufacturing.
Strengthening Abu Dhabi’s Green Industrial Vision
ETG’s new facility will leverage Kezad’s world-class infrastructure, strategic market access, and business-friendly policies to accelerate its regional presence.
