ETG Bio Green Polymer to Establish Manufacturing Plant in KEZAD

Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (Kezad Group), the largest operator of integrated and purpose-built economic zones, has signed a 50-year land lease agreement with ETG Bio Green Polymer, a global leader in sustainable manufacturing, to establish a state-of-the-art compostable polymers factory in Kezad Al Ma’mourah (Kezad A).

The new facility will produce 100% sustainable polymers, supporting manufacturers in their transition to plastic-free packaging solutions, according to Emirates News Agency (WAM). ETG is investing AED 150 million ($40.84 million) in the 22,000-square-meter facility, reinforcing its commitment to pioneering green technologies and contributing to a circular economy.

The plant will manufacture compostable polymer resin, facilitating the packaging industry’s shift towards eco-friendly solutions while strengthening Kezad’s role as a hub for sustainable manufacturing.

Strengthening Abu Dhabi’s Green Industrial Vision

ETG’s new facility will leverage Kezad’s world-class infrastructure, strategic market access, and business-friendly policies to accelerate its regional presence.

Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of Kezad Group, welcomed the partnership, stating:
“We are proud to welcome ETG to Kezad’s growing community of sustainable businesses. As a leader in bio-compostable packaging solutions, ETG’s presence marks a significant step in reducing environmental impact and promoting a circular economy. Supporting green industries aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision for a more sustainable future.”

Kishore Kumar Reddy, CEO and Co-founder of ETG, emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability:
“At ETG, we believe sustainability is the future of packaging. Our new facility in KEZAD is a crucial step in eliminating plastic waste.”

Co-founders Shoukath Ali and Tariq Iqbal echoed this sentiment, highlighting their enthusiasm for collaborating with Kezad Group to drive innovation and support the UAE’s sustainability goals.

A Step Forward for Sustainable Manufacturing

The polymers industry plays a key role in sustainability by adopting circular economy principles and advancing green production technologies. By designing reusable and recyclable products, manufacturers are minimizing waste and energy consumption.

ETG’s new establishment in Kezad will contribute to these efforts, setting a benchmark for eco-friendly manufacturing in the region while charting a path for the company’s future growth.
