Teadit 2235 Valve Packing – Graphite High Temperature with Inconel Mesh

Low emission packing/sealing

Packing Style 2235 is composed of layers of flexible graphite tape plied into compact strands; each filament is reinforced with an Inconel® wire jacket. The strands are then square braided to form a dense yet malleable packing. Additionally, it is also impregnated with a minimal amount of lubricating agents to reduce stem friction.

Key features/benefits

CONSTRUCTION:
Style 2235 packing is manufactured from high purity flexible graphite tape plied into compact strands. Each
filament is encapsulated by an Inconel® wire jacket, supplied with a corrosion inhibitor. The strands are
then square braided to form a dense yet malleable packing. Additionally, it is also impregnated with a
minimal amount of lubricating agents to reduce stem friction.
APPLICATION / SERVICE:
Style 2235 is ideal for steam service, and can be used within a broad range of applications. It is well
suitable for power plants, refineries, petrochemical industry, chemical processing as well as sealing
applications in steam at high pressure and temperature.
BENEFITS:
Style 2235 is self-lubricating, non-hardening, dimensionally stable and resistant to gases and fluids as well
as heat, pressure and chemicals. The Inconel® filament jacket affords mechanical stability and extrusion proof,
while the advanced construction provides leakage control and high integrity in steam service.
NOT SUITABLE FOR:
Highly oxidizing agents .
