The function of the gate valve is for opening and closing. Its motion direction is perpendicular to the direction of fluids.The gate valve can only be fully opened and closed,and can be used for low regulation.Therefore,when the valves is fully open,the flow channel is straight-through and the pressure loss difference is minimum.So gate valve can be used in many conditions.Gate valve is widely used in petrochemical industry,thermal power plants and other oil and steam pipelines as a device to connect or cut off the medium in the pipeline.
