The trunnion acts as a support structure, improving the valve’s strength and allowing for smooth, low-torque operation. This design secures a positive seal on both downstream and upstream seats, regardless of pressure, enabling Double Block and Bleed (DBB) or Double Isolation and Bleed (DIB) functionality.
