Oman has officially launched a new bid round for oil and gas exploration and production, aiming to attract fresh investments and expand its energy sector.
Salah bin Hafiz Al-Dhahab, Director General of Investment at the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, told the Oman News Agency that the bidding process includes blocks 18, 36, 43, and 66. Companies interested in exploring these areas can submit their applications until June.
Al-Dhahab emphasized that the ministry is focused on boosting production capacity, accelerating field development, and streamlining operations in both newly explored and existing fields. The initiative aligns with Oman’s broader strategy to enhance its energy resources and drive economic growth.
