John Cockerill has signed a major contract with ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS PROJECTS and its partner POWERCHINA to design and supply two large HAMON® cooling towers for the Al Mourjan Rabigh 2 Power Plant Extension in Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was finalized in Cairo by Wael Hamdy, Vice President of ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC and CEO of the E&C Sector; Hesham Hegazy, CEO of ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS PROJECTS; and Ibrahim Amin, Vice President of Engineering and Supply Chain at ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC PSP, along with Thomas Bohner, CEO of John Cockerill Energy, and Omar Mohsen.
This contract marks a significant milestone in the companies’ collaboration, strengthening a partnership built on trust, technical capability, and long-term cooperation, the company said.
John Cockerill added that its advanced HAMON® cooling technology will play a key role in optimizing plant performance. By improving cooling efficiency, the towers will help reduce fuel consumption and lower environmental impact.
