Adani Wilmar Limited has reached a significant milestone with the commencement of operations at its state-of-the-art integrated food processing plant in Gohana, Sonipat district, Haryana. The inauguration was marked by the first dispatch of 100 metric tonnes of rice, signaling the facility’s readiness to scale up production.

This ₹1,298 crore food complex, funded through IPO proceeds, stands among the largest in India. The facility is poised to become a major economic driver for the region, with the potential to create 2,000 direct and indirect jobs, significantly contributing to local employment and economic growth.
Progress in Infrastructure Development
Adani Wilmar’s largest greenfield project continues to make remarkable progress. The construction has already utilized over 10,000 MT of steel structure, 7,500 MT of Tor steel, and 100,000 cement bags, reflecting the scale and ambition of the endeavor. Extensive planning, engineering, and execution efforts have laid the groundwork for a facility that aims to revolutionize food production in India.

State-of-the-Art Facility: Capacity & Product Range
Designed by Larsen & Toubro Technology Services (LTTS), the 85-acre facility integrates cutting-edge technologies to produce a diverse range of food products. The plant has an annual production capacity of 627,000 MT, including:
- 450,000 MT of staple foods, such as rice, wheat flour, suji, rawa, and maida.
- 200,000 MT of edible oils, including mustard oil, rice bran oil, and cottonseed oil.
- Mustard DOC and Rice Bran DOC for animal feed.

- Satake Corporation: State-of-the-art rice processing unit.
- Bühler Group: Advanced 350 TPD wheat processing unit, including a 200 TPD whole wheat atta line, ensuring optimal extraction and nutritional value.
- Alfa Laval India, Mactek Solutions, and Kirby Building Systems: Specialized engineering solutions and sustainable structural designs.
Sustainability & Energy Efficiency
In line with Adani Wilmar’s commitment to sustainability, the plant integrates multiple eco-friendly technologies to reduce its environmental footprint:
- Biomass fuel system using rice husk for energy generation.
- Rainwater harvesting system compliant with Central Ground Water Board (CGWB) regulations.
- Rooftop solar panels (5.6 MW capacity) in the process of installation.
- Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system to prevent water discharge into the surrounding environment.
- Co-generation steam turbine plant (3.2 MW capacity) to ensure energy efficiency.
