“Transocean and BP Sign $531M Drillship Contract”

Transocean has been awarded a 1,095-day contract by BP for the ultradeepwater Deepwater Invictus drillship, set to operate in the US Gulf of Mexico. The contract, which is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2025, will generate an estimated $531 million in backlog, not including potential additional services and mobilization fees.
