China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co. (CPP), a wholly owned subsidiary of CNPC Engineering, has announced that it has secured a significant engineering, procurement, supply, construction, and commissioning (EPSCC) contract from French energy giant TotalEnergies for a major midstream pipeline project in Iraq.
In an official statement, CPP confirmed it had received a letter of award from TotalEnergies for the development of the Atawi Gas Midstream Pipeline EPSCC Project, with the total contract valued at approximately $294 million.
The pipeline forms a critical part of TotalEnergies’ broader investment in Iraq’s energy infrastructure, supporting the country’s strategy to harness its natural gas resources, reduce flaring, and meet rising domestic and industrial energy demand.
The Atawi pipeline project is expected to play a vital role in transporting gas from upstream fields to key processing and distribution hubs, contributing to Iraq’s long-term goals for energy self-sufficiency and environmental sustainability.
This award reinforces CPP’s strong presence in the Middle East and its reputation as a trusted global contractor for complex oil and gas infrastructure projects.
