Terrain Gears Up for Drilling at Three Gold Projects in Western Australia and Queensland

Terrain Minerals is advancing three gold projects this year, including two in Western Australia’s Mid West region and a developing gold project in Queensland, alongside its gallium, rare earths, and nickel-copper plays in WA.

The company has recently focused on its new gallium discovery at Larin’s Lane within the Smokebush project and has been actively engaged with its rare earths and nickel-copper interests at the Lort River project near Esperance.

Now, Terrain is turning its immediate attention to the Monza and Wildflower gold targets at the Smokebush project, as well as its new Queensland gold venture.

Strategic Gold Focus

Terrain Minerals Executive Director Justin Virgin stated:

“Terrain is well placed with a strong footprint in strategic gold regions in both Western Australia and Queensland. We are seeing increasing interest in our gold projects from both domestic and international participants, and we are looking forward to updating the market as we continue to hit our project milestones over the coming months.”

The company conducted a scout air-core drilling program in August last year on a small section of the Wildflower project, following up on soil gold anomalism at both Wildflower and the nearby Cota targets.

At Wildflower, early soil geochemistry identified a significant 1,000m by 500m gold-in-soil anomaly, peaking at 246 parts per billion gold. This anomaly centered around a historic drill hole, which intercepted 15m at 1.49 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 10m.

A follow-up air-core drilling program included 72 air-core holes totaling 1,710m, revealing promising gold intersections, such as 9m at 1.17g/t gold from 30m downhole at Cota.

Subsequent reverse circulation (RC) drilling comprised eight drill holes totaling 1,182m. While gold grades were generally low, the results provide valuable reconnaissance data. Terrain notes that the findings resemble early scout drilling at Vault Minerals’ nearby 328,000-ounce Rothsay gold mine.

Recent RC drilling delivered encouraging results from 13 holes, including a best intercept of 1m at 1.06g/t gold from 131m and a longest intercept of 5m assaying 0.37g/t gold from 34m. Other intercepts ranged between 1m and 3m, with grades between 0.2g/t and 0.43g/t gold.

The company anticipates receiving assay results from January-February drilling this month and plans an air-core scout drilling program in May, with results expected by July. A subsequent RC drilling campaign is scheduled for September 2025, with results anticipated in December.

Monza Project Advancements

At its Monza project within the Smokebush tenement area, Terrain plans further work to validate its interpretation that the primary gold mineralization style is arsenic-associated.

Early indications suggest Monza’s mineralization is analogous to Warriedar Resources’ Golden Range project to the north, which hosts a 1.29-million-ounce gold resource.

Terrain is also considering nearby processing options for its gold ore. The Deflector mill, operated by Vault Minerals, is the closest processing facility, particularly for Monza. The mill currently processes ore from Vault’s Rothsay mine, located 200km away.

Monza’s mineralized strike extends over 700m, remaining open along strike and at depth. Initial modeling highlights a high-grade core with previous drill intercepts exceeding 20 gram x metres and a northward plunge.

The company plans to focus initial drilling efforts on Monza’s high-grade core and will conduct preliminary metallurgical test work in April to assess the arsenic issue, with results expected by June.

Terrain is on track to submit a mining lease application for Monza in April and aims to complete an initial mineral resource estimate by year-end.

The company will launch a resource definition RC drilling program in May, with results expected in July, followed by geotechnical drilling in August. A multi-phase resource definition RC drilling campaign is set for September, with assay results due in November. Terrain anticipates releasing a maiden mineral resource estimate in December 2025.

Biloela Gold-Copper Project in Queensland

Terrain’s wholly-owned Biloela gold-copper project, located about 400km northwest of Brisbane, lies along strike from the historic Cracow gold mine, which has produced over 1.4 million ounces of gold.

The company’s 2,500-square-kilometre tenement package at Biloela was identified by WA’s Centre for Exploration Targeting at the University of Western Australia during a machine-learning study aimed at discovering significant mineral deposits across Australia.

Biloela hosts at least seven historical gold and copper mines, with mineralization targets identified based on geology, known occurrences, surface geochemistry, and geophysical anomalies.

With only one minor tenement pending approval, Terrain is preparing to access priority gold and copper target areas.

The company will commence its initial on-ground exploration before June, with a planned drilling program targeting key copper and gold occurrences. Initial surface sampling is scheduled for May, with results expected in July.

This will be followed by scout RC drilling in September, with assay results anticipated in November.

Strong Pipeline of Exploration Work

Terrain has an extensive exploration agenda, spanning gold, gallium, rare earths, and nickel-copper projects. With multiple drilling campaigns planned across its portfolio, the company remains committed to unlocking value and advancing its diverse suite of strategic assets.
