Telangana Secures Over Rs 1,000 Crore Investment for New Biofuel Plant”

Swachh Bio, a leader in lignocellulosic biofuels, has unveiled plans to build a 250 KLPD second-generation cellulosic biofuel plant in Telangana. The initial phase of the project will see an investment exceeding ₹1,000 crore, creating 250 jobs at the plant and an additional 250 positions in related sectors.

The company has also outlined intentions to establish further biofuel facilities in Telangana, aiming to transform the state into a biofuels hub.

Praveen Paripati, Chairperson of Swachh Bio, discussed the project with Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during the Chief Minister’s visit to the U.S.

Swachh Bio’s international partner, Suganit Biorenewables, has developed a patented technology for producing biofuels and biochemicals from biomass and cellulose.

The State government has pledged full support for the investment, ensuring the successful development of the biofuel plant in Telangana.
