Italian TSO Snam is planning to invest 11.5bn in the country’s gas and LNG infrastructure over the next three years, while also boosting hydrogen activities and carbon capture and storage (CCS), it said on Thursday.
The main upgrades would include building a new south-north section of the Adriatic Pipeline – to eliminate bottlenecks in the national gas transport network – and the commissioning of a new floating LNG unit, it added in a statement.
