Sipchem Awards $189 Million Contract for New Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate Production Facility

SGC Engineering & Construction (E&C) of South Korea, renowned for its expertise in design, procurement, and construction (EPC), has announced a significant contract award for a petrochemical project in Saudi Arabia. The contract, valued at 260 billion won ($189 million), involves the development of an ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) production facility.

This new facility will be situated in Jubail Industrial City, a major industrial hub in Saudi Arabia. The contract was awarded by Saudi International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem), marking a continuation of SGC E&C’s collaboration with the company, with whom they have previously worked on four projects since entering the Saudi market in 2010.

In 2024, SGC E&C has secured new orders totaling 1.2 trillion won ($870 million) in Saudi Arabia, underscoring the company’s growing presence and success in the region.
