Sigachi Industries gets green light for mega Dahej SEZ plant

Sigachi Industries has received environmental clearance from the Gujarat State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA) to establish a large-scale greenfield manufacturing facility in the Dahej Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Bharuch.

Strategic Expansion to Fuel Exports and Innovation

This new facility marks one of the company’s most significant manufacturing expansions to date, supporting its long-term vision for global growth. With a planned production capacity of 3,120 metric tonnes per month, the plant will manufacture advanced cellulose and starch-based excipients, along with other high-value ingredients critical to the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and food industries.

Situated within an SEZ, the facility is poised to enhance export capabilities, improve operational agility, and comply with stringent international quality standards.

Advancing India’s Role in Global Pharma Supply Chains

The Dahej project is expected to solidify Sigachi’s position in global supply chains while enabling the company to expand into high-growth international markets. The investment aligns with India’s broader ambitions to become a leading hub for pharmaceutical innovation and manufacturing.
