Sicim wins the third lot of the Sestino – Minerbio methane pipeline

Sicim was awarded the third lot by Snam for the construction of the Sestino – Minerbio methane pipeline which, with a total length of over 140 km and a diameter of 48″, aims to strengthen the Italian gas transport network.

The value of the order is over 100 million euros .

For this lot Sicim will be responsible for the construction of a 31 km line that will cross various locations in the Province of Forlì Cesena (FC), including Mercato Saraceno, Roncofreddo, Sogliano al Rubicone and Cesena.

The works, which will involve around 300 people , involve the construction of: two line systems, 8 microtunnels (for a length of approximately 2,750 metres ), the excavation of a 128 meter tunnel and a tunnel with TBM ( Tunnel Boring) technology. Machine ) with a length of 2,180 meters .

Two Direct Pipes of 1,270 meters of development and controlled horizontal drilling (TOC) of the same length are also planned, to serve the laying of the optical fiber cable and the crossing of 11 open-air river courses .

The completion of the works is estimated for 2026 .
