Saudi’s Fakeeh Care Set to Commence $123 Million HEAL Hospital Project in 2025”

Dr. Soliman Abdel Kader Fakeeh Hospital Company (Fakeeh Care) has announced that construction of the HEAL Neuroscience, Rehabilitation, and Post-Acute Care Hospital, with a budget of 460 million Saudi riyals ($122.6 million), will commence in Jeddah after the design phase concludes in the latter half of 2025.

The new greenfield facility, situated on a 24,000-square-meter leased plot, will feature 200 beds, a dedicated neuroscience zone, in-patient rehabilitation services for addiction and mental health disorders, outpatient physical rehabilitation clinics, and a retirement zone. The total cost covers construction, medical equipment, furniture, and fittings.

Upcoming project statuses include:

  • DSFH Jeddah Surgery Tower Extension: Final permit stages are underway, with construction expected to begin in the second half of 2024 and completion targeted for the second half of 2027. The extension will feature 140 beds and 13 operating theatres.
  • DSFH South Obhur, Jeddah: Land acquisition is complete, and Japan’s HKS has been selected as the designer. The project is anticipated to be finished in the first half of 2028, including 300 beds and 11 operating theatres.
  • DSFMC North Obhur, Jeddah: Construction is already underway, with a projected completion in the first half of 2025.
  • DSFMC Al Zahra, Jeddah: The lease agreement was finalized in August, with construction and fit-out scheduled to begin in the second half of 2024 and an expected opening in the second half of 2025.
  • DSFMC Al Hamra, Riyadh: Land has been acquired and the design for the first phase is complete. Construction is set to start in the fourth quarter of 2024, aiming for completion in the second half of 2026. This facility will include 22 clinics and two day-surgery units.
  • DSFH Makkah: A 40-year land lease has been secured, and a designer has been appointed. The schematic has been submitted for approval. Construction is slated to start in the second half of 2024, with completion anticipated by the second half of 2027.
  • DSFMC Alawali, Makkah: The construction contract has been awarded to Advance Horizon Company, a wholly owned subsidiary. The project is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025 and will feature 20 clinics and two day-surgery units
