Saudi MODON Secures $266.6 Million in Contracts for Industrial City Development

The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) has recently finalized nine major contracts with the private sector, totaling over SAR1 billion. This investment will accelerate the development of industrial cities throughout Saudi Arabia.

These initiatives are part of MODON’s strategy to create a dynamic industrial and investment environment that aligns with its vision of becoming the top destination for investment and a key partner in the industrial sector. This effort supports the goals of the National Industrial Strategy and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Among the new projects, MODON has signed a contract for infrastructure development in the third industrial city in Jeddah and the second industrial city in Makkah. Additionally, 4.3 million square meters of land will be allocated for investment to enhance the investment environment. Another contract focuses on infrastructure development in the third industrial city in Dammam and the allocation of 2.5 million square meters of land to meet rising industrial investment demands in the Eastern Province.

Further agreements include the establishment of 132 kV overhead lines in the Tabuk industrial city and 115 kV overhead lines in the Hafar Al-Batin industrial city, each with a capacity of 100 MVA. These projects aim to enhance operational efficiency and meet the energy needs of industrial investors.

MODON is committed to developing industrial cities that meet international standards, supporting Saudi Arabia’s transformation into a leading industrial and logistics hub. In early 2024, MODON launched “Modon Oasis” in Jeddah to attract high-quality industries, promote entrepreneurship, and support small and medium-sized enterprises.

Since its inception, MODON has developed over 209 million square meters and built a comprehensive infrastructure system. It currently manages 36 industrial cities, including six industrial oases, housing over 6,500 industrial facilities that significantly contribute to national exports.
