Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Global wins contract to build Turtle Bay Hospital

Red Sea Global (RSG), the developer overseeing The Red Sea and AMAALA megaprojects, has announced that the Ministry of Health (MOH) has given its approval for the designs of the Turtle Bay Hospital, paving the way for construction to begin.

According to RSG’s statement, Abdullah Saeed Alsayed & Partners Contracting Company has been selected to undertake the construction of the new hospital, with mobilization set to commence on-site very soon.

While the specific value of the contract and the projected completion date were not disclosed, Turtle Bay Hospital is noteworthy as the first project funded by the Saudi sovereign Public Investment Fund (PIF) to receive MOH’s architectural approval.

Located in The Red Sea’s Turtle Bay area, the hospital will serve both residents and visitors at the expansive 1.5 million square meter waterfront site.

The initial phase of resorts at The Red Sea destination is on track to be finished by next year.

Furthermore, MOH has also granted approval for the architectural plans of the Red Sea International Airport Clinic. The urgent care clinic’s construction is currently 60% complete and is expected to be fully operational by December 2024.

At the same time, construction has begun on a hospital within the Staff Village at AMAALA since March, with the contract entrusted to Abdullah Saeed Alsayed & Partners Contracting Company. The hospital is slated for completion by late 2025, with the sub-structure already finished.
