Saudi Arabia Reveals 6 Qualified Bidders for 5th Mining Exploration Licensing Round”

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced six companies as the qualified bidders for the Fifth Round of Exploration Licensing across six mining sites.

According to a post on the Ministry’s X account on Wednesday, the sites span a total area of 1,000 square kilometers. The qualified bidders and their respective sites are as follows:

  1. Discover Arabia Mining Company – Al Halahilah site in Najran region
  2. Al Masane Al Kobra Mining Company (AMAK) – Jalabl Qaran in Najran region
  3. Eqleed Group and Indotan Mining Company alliance – Makman Hjab in Riyadh region
  4. Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) – An Nimas in Aseer region
  5. Royal Roads Arabia Company – Al Miyah in Makkah region
  6. AMAK – Al-Hijra in Aseer region

These sites are potentially rich in gold, silver, copper, zinc, and lead, and will benefit from funding by the Industrial Development Fund, which will cover 75 percent of exploration costs.
