Sagar Cement to Upgrade Three Cement Plants in India

India’s Sagar Cement plans to upgrade three of its cement plants to boost its production capacity from 10.5 million tons (Mt) to 12.0 Mt.

The upgrades will focus on increasing efficiency and debottlenecking processes. Specifically, the Dachepalli plant, part of subsidiary Andhra Cement, will see its capacity grow from 2.25 Mt to 3.0 Mt of cement and from 1.85 Mt to 2.31 Mt of clinker. Additionally, the Jeerabad and Gudipau plants will each expand by 0.5 Mt and 0.25 Mt, respectively. The entire expansion is set to be completed by the end of FY 2026.
