Qair plans to invest 800 million euros in a green kerosene plant in the Hautes-Pyrénées in partnership with Airbus

The Occitan group Qair, specializing in renewable energies, plans to invest more than 800 million euros in the construction of an e-Saf (sustainable aviation electro-fuel) production plant in Lannemezan in Hautes. -Pyrenees. A first memorandum of understanding was signed with Airbus.

The ambition of the Qair group, an independent producer of renewable energies, already positioned in new sectors, is to embark on a new adventure with green kerosene. To achieve this, he plans to create a mega factory in Lannemezan in the Hautes-Pyrénées, with the creation of 100 to 200 jobs and representing an investment of more than 800 million euros.

The acquisition of 24 hectares of land, belonging to the municipality, for an amount of 2.5 million euros is underway. Feasibility studies are underway. Construction could begin in early 2027 to be able to produce by 2030. To complete this project, Qair intends to rely on various partners, whether industrial, financial or institutional.
