Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated a groundbreaking petrochemical project worth Rs 20,600 crore in Gujarat. The project, operated by Petronet LNG at Dahej, signifies a significant expansion in India’s petrochemical sector. It is poised to boost hydrogen production and increase the supply of polypropylene, contributing to the nation’s developmental goals.
This strategic investment underscores the government’s commitment to fostering a progressive India and catering to the needs of its diverse population. The prime minister highlighted the importance of such initiatives in securing a brighter future for the country, particularly its youth, aligning with India’s trajectory of growth and development.
The Dahej petrochemical complex, with its state-of-the-art facilities for handling ethane and propane, is strategically located near an existing LNG regasification terminal. This proximity is expected to result in significant operational efficiencies and cost savings, further enhancing the project’s economic viability.
Additionally, PM Modi inaugurated 50 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendras in Ahmedabad and other locations, extending access to affordable, high-quality generic medicines. This initiative not only aims to improve healthcare accessibility for railway passengers but also creates employment opportunities and ensures the availability of cost-effective medical solutions for travellers nationwide.
