Brazil’s Petrobras is expected to launch a tender by the end of the first half of this year for the contracting of the Buzios-12 floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
Located in the prolific Santos Basin, Buzios is Brazil’s largest offshore oil field, with estimated recoverable resources of approximately 11.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent.
Petrobras currently operates six FPSOs at Buzios and has contracted an additional five units scheduled to begin operations between 2025 and 2027.
