Petrobras (PETR4) has awarded a contract worth R$8.4 billion to Subsea7 for the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) of subsea systems for the Búzios 11 Production Development Project, the company announced in a statement on Monday.
The scope of the Búzios 11 project includes the interconnection of 15 subsea wells to the P-83 floating production, storage, and offloading unit (FPSO). Of these, eight wells will be oil producers, while the remaining seven will serve as alternating water and gas injectors, supporting reservoir pressure and enhancing recovery.
The offshore installation campaign under this EPCI contract is scheduled to commence in October 2027. Located in Brazil’s pre-salt Santos Basin, Búzios is one of the world’s largest deepwater oil fields and a strategic asset in Petrobras’ long-term production plans.
