Origin Energy Awards Contract for Angry Jungle Gas Field

Origin Energy Ltd. has awarded a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract to Worley for a new natural gas compression station in the Angry Jungle gas field, located in Queensland, Australia.

Angry Jungle is a joint venture operated by multiple producers within the Surat Basin. During the FEED phase, Worley will support the engineering design of the infrastructure necessary for Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) to utilize its share of coal seam gas produced within the field, according to the service provider.

The infrastructure for the Angry Jungle project includes in-field compression, a low-pressure gathering pipeline, and ancillary services. Worley’s initial scope will focus on the booster compression facility.

Origin Energy is the upstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG).
