The facilities will come up within the green hydrogen hub being developed by NTPC in Pudimadaka, Achutapuram

NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) has invited an expression of interest from green hydrogen and its derivatives generation/storage product manufacturers to set up manufacturing facilities at Pudimadaka in Andhra Pradesh.

NGEL, the wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has a 1,200-acre land parcel in de notified SEZ area of Pudimadaka, Achutapuram. The government of Andhra Pradesh has accorded in-principle approval for the development of the land into a green hydrogen hub. NGEL plans to develop the land into a mega hydrogen hub with two components:

  1. A part of the land used for setting up green hydrogen, ammonia, and other derivatives production facilities
  2. A part of land to be identified and developed as a manufacturing hub for green hydrogen and its derivatives related equipment/technologies (including their storage) for which this EOI is being invited. The total area for the intended manufacturing setup is around 300 acres.

Infrastructure facilities like land, water and electricity shall be arranged by NGEL.

After identifying the applicants through the EOI, NGEL may enter into separate commercial agreements with the prospective entities for allotment of space with the consent of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corp.

Bidding closes on Feb. 13.

In a separate tender, NGEL has invited domestic bids for supervision of plant operations and maintenance (O&M) and civil works at 225 MW Bilhaur Solar Power Project in Uttar Pradesh. The brief scope of work includes forecasting and scheduling, SCADA monitoring, general O&M works, and day-to-day site/project office works.
