Nicola Mining Inc. is pleased to announce the commencement of its 2025 Exploration Diamond Drilling Program (the “2025 Program”) at its 100%-owned New Craigmont Copper Project (“New Craigmont”), located near Merritt, British Columbia. This marks a significant milestone in the Company’s ongoing commitment to unlocking the full potential of one of Canada’s most prospective brownfield copper assets.
Building upon the success of previous exploration campaigns, the 2025 Program is designed to further delineate mineralized zones and investigate the potential for both high-grade skarn mineralization and large-scale porphyry copper systems. The New Craigmont site—host to one of British Columbia’s highest-grade historic copper mines—offers a unique combination of established infrastructure, proximity to key transportation networks, and strong regional geological signatures that continue to attract exploration interest.
This year’s drilling campaign reflects Nicola’s focus on systematic, data-driven exploration. With modern technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), remote sensing, and advanced geochemical analysis being employed alongside traditional geological methods, the Company aims to make meaningful advances in resource definition and project development.
The 2025 Program will not only build on the geological insights gained in previous years, but also test new, previously undrilled targets generated through cutting-edge AI models and a thorough reinterpretation of legacy data. As Nicola continues to advance New Craigmont, the Company reaffirms its vision of establishing a sustainable, high-value copper asset in a well-established mining jurisdiction.
