MODEC begins construction of the new FPSO Errea Wittu platform for ExxonMobil

MODEC began construction of the FPSO Errea Wittu this week, destined for ExxonMobil operations off the coast of Guyana. This new platform marks ExxonMobil’s fifth development in the Stabroek block. With an investment of US$12.7 billion, ExxonMobil’s Uaru project in Guyana is scheduled to start in 2026. The new FPSO built by the Japanese company will have the capacity to store 2 million barrels of oil , producing around 250 thousand barrels per day , and will play an important role in the oil company’s strategy in its new project.
