Masdar, TotalEnergies, and EPointZero Sign Framework for Action

Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (Masdar), TotalEnergies, and EPointZero—the decarbonization arm of 2PointZero, a global investment platform—have signed a Framework for Action (FFA) agreement aimed at expanding access to clean energy in emerging markets across Africa and Asia.

As part of this agreement, Masdar and TotalEnergies will collaborate to enhance energy access in Africa by delivering reliable and sustainable electricity to local communities while supporting long-term energy system transformation. Additionally, both companies will explore new clean energy opportunities in Southeast Asia. Meanwhile, TotalEnergies and EPointZero will work together to support India’s clean energy goals through solar, wind, and energy storage solutions, contributing to the country’s broader decarbonization efforts.

The signing ceremony took place during the third plenary meeting of the UAE-France High-Level Business Council in Paris on February 16. The event was attended by key industry leaders, including Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar; Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and CEO of TotalEnergies; and Mariam Almheiri, Group CEO of 2PointZero. The agreement was formally signed by Masdar’s CEO, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi; Stéphane Michel, TotalEnergies President for Gas, Renewables, and Power; and Peter Abraam, Chief Strategy and Growth Officer of IHC.

This strategic collaboration unites major industry players under the Council’s umbrella, leveraging their expertise to expand clean energy access in Africa and Asia, driving sustainable development in these regions.
