HUMAIN and stc Group have signed a strategic joint venture (JV) to develop and operate advanced AI data centres in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, strengthening the country’s position as a regional hub for artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.
The partnership brings together stc group’s digital infrastructure arm, center3, and HUMAIN, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company delivering full-stack artificial intelligence capabilities globally. Under the agreement, the JV will build next-generation AI data centre infrastructure capable of supporting up to 1 gigawatt (GW) of AI workloads.
By combining center3’s scale, data-centre expertise, and regional connectivity with HUMAIN’s mandate to drive end-to-end AI capabilities, the collaboration lays the foundation for high-capacity, low-latency infrastructure designed to meet the growing demands of the AI era.
The new platform will support the hosting of critical digital assets, enable the deployment of large language models (LLMs), and provide the resilience required for mission-critical AI applications across sectors. The initiative is also expected to play a key role in fostering Saudi Arabia’s AI ecosystem, supporting innovation, data sovereignty, and digital transformation.
The JV aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader ambitions to accelerate advanced technologies, cloud infrastructure, and AI adoption, positioning the Kingdom as a global destination for large-scale AI computing and next-generation digital services.
