Germany’s Dyckerhoff plans large-scale CCS in Deuna

Dyckerhoff, which is part of the Buzzi Group, announced that in the Deuna cement plant in Thuringia in Germany a large-scale CCS unit will be installed for the production of net-zero cement.

The planned investment is € 350m to capture about 0.62 Mta of CO2 for further processing and storage, opening in year 2029. Detailed engineering has been started after finishing two successful feasibility studies. Anyhow, the investment still needs the local regulatory approvals as well as the go-ahead by the Dyckerhoff Supervisory Board.
