Galderma to Triple Production Capacity with $6.5 Million Factory Expansion in Brazil
Galderma, a company specializing in skin care products across Injectable Aesthetics, Dermatological Skincare, and Therapeutic Dermatology, is set to significantly expand its factory operations in Hortolândia, São Paulo. With an initial investment of $6.5 million, Galderma has acquired the existing factory and an adjacent 48,000-square-meter plot of land. This expansion will enable the company to triple its current production capacity, reinforcing its strategic presence in Brazil.
The Hortolândia factory, which manufactures popular dermocosmetic products like Dermotivin and Cetaphil, exports to 39 countries across Latin America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, Africa, and the United States.
“Brazil is among the company’s top three markets worldwide, with a strong growth trajectory over the past year. We are proud to continue investing in the local production of products such as the Cetaphil Oil Control line, which adapts perfectly to Brazilian skin. With this expansion, we will be able to develop the region’s economy and internalize some production processes, improving our supply speed and flexibility. Our goal is to progress in the Brazilian market, supporting its growth and dedicating our focus and passion to our purpose of advancing dermatology for every skin story,” says Ligia Santos, general manager of Galderma in Brazil.
This factory is part of Galderma’s global production network, which includes three other facilities located in Canada, Sweden, and France.
