Drake & Scull Subsidiary Wins $46 Million Water Treatment Plant Contract in India

Passavant Energy & Environment, the German subsidiary of Drake & Scull International, has been awarded a contract worth 169 million UAE dirhams ($46.02 million) by Maharashtra Industrial Township Limited (MITL) to develop a state-of-the-art water treatment plant in India.

The facility, with a capacity of 70 million liters per day, will be constructed in the AURIC Bidkin Industrial Area in Maharashtra. In addition to the plant, the project includes the installation of a 900 mm diameter water pipeline, ensuring efficient water distribution within the industrial zone.

Under the contract, Passavant Energy & Environment will handle the complete scope of work, including design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of the water treatment infrastructure. Furthermore, the agreement includes a 10-year operation and maintenance commitment to ensure long-term efficiency and sustainability.

The project is expected to be completed within 36 months from the issuance of the letter of award, according to a statement released by Drake & Scull via the stock exchange.
