Bilfinger Wins Dubai Airport Fuel Pipeline Contract

Bilfinger Middle East has secured a new contract to deliver engineering and design services for a strategic jet fuel pipeline that will supply Dubai’s rapidly expanding Al Maktoum International Airport. The award was made by Emdad Aviation Fuel Storage FZCO, an affiliate of Emarat – Emirates Petroleum Company P.J.S.C.

The pipeline is considered a critical component of the airport’s long-term infrastructure plans. Al Maktoum International is undergoing a major expansion that will ultimately accommodate five runways, handle more than 200 departures per hour, and process up to 260 million passengers annually. Ensuring a reliable and uninterrupted jet fuel supply is therefore essential to meet the airport’s future operational demands.

Bilfinger said it is pleased to partner with Emdad on a project that will enhance Dubai’s aviation fuel logistics and improve overall efficiency. The company noted that the collaboration reflects its commitment to supporting large-scale energy and infrastructure developments across the region.
