Atirath Holdings India has signed a landmark agreement with the Government of Telangana to invest ₹4,000 crore in the development of bio compressed natural gas (CBG) projects across the State. The agreement was formalised on Monday in the presence of Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025.
Under the proposed investment plan, Atirath Holdings intends to set up 25 compressed bio-gas (CBG) plants at multiple locations in Telangana. Each facility will have a processing capacity of 20 tonnes per day (TPD), contributing significantly to the State’s renewable energy and clean fuel ecosystem.
The initiative is expected to generate more than 9,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities, providing a substantial boost to local economies. It is also aimed at creating sustainable income streams for farmers through the use of agricultural residue, organic waste, and other biomass as feedstock for CBG production.
According to Atirath Holdings, the projects align closely with Telangana’s vision of promoting green energy, reducing dependence on fossil fuels, and supporting rural development. The bio-CNG produced from these plants will help lower carbon emissions, support cleaner transportation fuels, and strengthen India’s broader goals under the National Bio-Energy Mission.
The company added that the agreement underscores growing investor confidence in Telangana’s policy framework and its commitment to facilitating large-scale investments in sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
