Ascentek, Inc., a leader in fluid and lubricant technologies, has announced plans to invest $50 million to build a new 270,000-square-foot manufacturing assistance facility in Shreveport, Louisiana. Construction is expected to begin before the end of 2025. The project will also include enhancements to the company’s existing production and distribution center in Caddo Parish, supporting rising global demand.
The expansion will feature the installation of high-speed production lines, material handling systems, and advanced storage equipment, improving efficiency across Ascentek’s manufacturing of industrial fluids, lubricants, and chemicals.
Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois highlighted the importance of the project:
“From day one, Governor Jeff Landry has ensured our department prioritizes growing and supporting businesses that have already made meaningful contributions to our communities. Ascentek is a prime example. Its history of innovation and impact perfectly aligns with our new strategic plan, and we’re proud to continue our partnership as the company deepens its commitment to Louisiana and its workforce.”
Justyn Dixon, President and CEO of the North Louisiana Economic Partnership, added:
“Ascentek’s expansion is a major win for Shreveport, Caddo Parish, and the Northwest Louisiana region. This $50 million investment not only underscores the company’s long-standing commitment to our community but also reflects the strength of our workforce, infrastructure, and strategic location. We’re excited to support Ascentek’s growth and the economic boost this project will bring through high-quality job creation and increased industrial capacity.”
