The Andhra Pradesh government and officials from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) recently convened to discuss the potential establishment of an oil refinery and petrochemical complex in the state. This ambitious project is expected to attract investments amounting to ₹70,000 crore.
The government is currently preparing a detailed feasibility report, highlighting the state’s strategic location on the east coast and its significant potential in the petrochemical sector. The project would require up to 5,000 acres of land, with the state government pledging support in securing the necessary land.
