Amir lays foundation stone for Ras Laffan Petrochemical Complex, Qatar

 The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani laid on Monday morning, the foundation stone of the Ras Laffan Petrochemical Complex project in Ras Laffan Industrial City. 

During the ceremony, a documentary film was shown about the project, which is considered one of the biggest petrochemical projects in the world.

The project will contribute to doubling the production capacity of ethylene and its derivatives and will increase the State of Qatar’s total petrochemical production to approximately 14 million tons annually. The ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers, CEOs, and senior officials from QatarEnergy’s partners, as well as guests.
