Aker Solutions has signed a long-term framework agreement with Azule Energy to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for brownfield projects and modifications for two FPSO units in Angola.
The agreement focuses on the Greater Plutonio and PSVM FPSOs and includes EPC for maintenance and modifications.
The three-year contract, which includes the possibility of two additional one-year extensions, is a continuation of the current framework agreement between the two companies.
Azule Energy is a joint venture between Eni and BP.
Aker Solutions plans to manage the execution and delivery of the contract through its teams in Luanda, Angola, and Aberdeen, UK.
Paal Eikeseth, executive vice president and head of Aker Solutions Life Cycle, said: “This new contract strengthens our global life cycle business and is a key project for our Aberdeen and Luanda offices.
“We are actively recruiting to increase the strength and competence of our existing project team. Going forward, our local business development efforts will focus on improving and strengthening relationships with local subcontractors, as well as hiring and training local personnel.”
