American Heavy Plates to invest $10 million to expand Ohio facility

American Heavy Plates, a prominent manufacturer of heavy carbon and alloy steel plates, has announced a significant expansion of its Clarington, Ohio plant. The company plans to invest $10 million to enhance its production capabilities, with $9.9 million allocated for a new finishing facility and $1 million for upgrading existing infrastructure.

This expansion effort is backed by partnerships with regional economic development organizations, including JobsOhio, the Ohio Department of Development, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), and the Port Authority of Monroe County.

Despite being a relatively young company, American Heavy Plates has quickly established itself in the industry due to its efficient production methods. The expansion project aims to introduce state-of-the-art machinery to the plant and create numerous job opportunities, supported by tax credits and financial grants from JobsOhio.
